how to deal double coconut?

first time got the dry matter,it's said have to dunk it for 3 days before cook,yet the stuff still not soft after under water for a week,any ideas?
these days up to nothing,perhaps that's the way of a retiree,I shall suit to it
plan to visit flower field next month

I don't cook with coconut so I can't help you with that. Sorry.
I read a lot of books and watch a lot of YouTube videos since I retired.
Oh, I hope you enjoy visiting the flower fields. That sounds like fun to me, too.

I have never cooked coconut. I have only used coconut flakes that are used in desserts.

Is it grated or chopped….try that. It should be soft after a week.
