Life Without Something: What?!?

I am sure most of you have something that you cannot live without. For me, there are so many things that I cannot make my life work functionally without my smartphone. It sounds unbecoming for me to claim this. But it is a fact that cannot be denied. Of course, it is given that I cannot survive without having the basic needs of life, such as food to consume, a shelter to live in, etc. Thus, using a smartphone can be included in Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs.
What is your call on this, guys?
What makes you live without in your precious life?

Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs.
A Theory of Human Motivation
Oh yes.
Studied this at length a few years ago.
I had been homeless at one point and I found this rather helpful.
You need to have Level One in place in all respects and at that time I did not, so I bought a tent.
The rest is history so to speak.
Level 3 - level 4 and Level 5 would not matter to me now if I didn't have Yvonne.
That's a bridge I don't want to have to think about just now

I'm not sure it needs an update.
The basic principles are sound and valid today, just as they were in 1943
I suppose it could include material possessions, but I think sometimes, things are best left alone

@Ineeddentures I agree. We just need to be aware of this theory.

Indeed. I also have my own desktop to play around here. I used to be an ESL teacher online, and my desktop is my best friend for earning something from teaching English to non-native speakers. I am still connected to a Japanese company, but it seems like I am done doing this kind of job.

A smartphone is also one of my basic needs in life. I keep in contact with friends and family using it as well as read my ebooks with it. (I use my laptop to visit websites, though. I don't like taking my phone online.)
