Firefighters from the Longview Fire Department in Texas answered an emergency call on Saturday morning when a hot air balloon with two people aboard crashed into a cell tower.
First responders arrived on scene and used rope systems to rescue two persons who were inside the hot air balloon which was around 920 feet off of the ground.
The first responders were able to get the couple from the hot air balloon to the ground below safely.
The two occupants of the hot air balloon were taken by an ambulance to a local hospital to be checked on.
The good news is that the two hot air balloon occupants are grateful to be alive in good spirits.

It must be really scary to be in a hot air balloon in the first place
Not exactly got a lot of protection should something go wrong
Mind you aeroplanes are just the same
Glad to hear that the the hot air balloon occupants in this story both survived to tell the tale

@Deepizzaguy I don’t mind planes. I just worry about crashing.

@DianneN Same with me since just seeing the recreation of airplane crashes scare me even though I have a much better chance of dying in an auto collision.

Yikes. Going up in a hot air balloon wasn't even something I'd like to do before I read this.

I'm glad the occupants are OK. I would never fly in a hot air balloon.

That is a long way off the ground, and they were precariously placed, so it was good they were rescued relatively unscathed.

That is true since being stuck in the air in a hot air balloon is scary.
