Blood Moon on March 3, 2026

Today is the total lunar eclipse happening, and said to happen this day, March 3, 2026. It’s expected to be the last total lunar eclipse visible until 2029, drawing major attention from skywatchers, astronomy fans, and online communities.
Have you saw how the moon looked like before during total lunar eclipse? I've forgotten mine already, because over the years i am either sleeping or at work, since my work is graveyard shift.

Must admit I have never paid much attention to things like this
I will have a look out the door and see if I can see the moon

When i was younger, i stayed up late to see shooting stars. I want to check it too, i do hope its not cloudy

If you were standing on a garden on North East Scotland, which direction would you expect to see it?

@Ineeddentures i am sure but this is what i have searched:
At moonrise: Look toward the east / southeast.
Around midnight (when the eclipse is highest): Look due south.
Before moonset (near dawn): Look west / southwest

Absolutely! A total eclipse makes it even more spectacular — the blood-red moon is unforgettable. I will try to see if i can see later a night in the office
