So my pal gets medical cannabis prescribed

March 2, 2026 8:14pm CST
So my pal gets medical cannabis prescribed So far it has cost him a fortune His package didn't arrive today so I rolled him a joint earlier on He just phoned me and said he isn't buying the medical stuff anymore I asked why And he started giggling and said the stuff he gets doesn't do anything for him So he asked me to get him some like mine When I told him how much it would cost he was also amazed at how much less it costs than he pays for prescribed crap, low THC , no high, His parting shot was he was hungry, Great stuff

Well, perscribed stuff is safer because it's regulated. when you buy it off the street, you don't know what you're getting.

Well Kayla That's not really true We know exactly what we are getting Untampered with 22% THC bud I've been smoking it for about 50 years Weed is weed, nothing else is weed There are imitations, but our " suppliers" wouldn't sell that crap here I would counter that the medical stuff is more of a risk given the very essence has been removed

Here we have cannabis dispensaries popping up everywhere now. Where I live, one location used to be a top bank now it’s a cannabis dispensary. Another location used to be an Asian market. I’m not sure if what is sold there is only medicinal or recreational as well.

I think it's hilarious here people paying an awful lot of money and not even getting strong enough stuff to get them stoned That's why street dealers are more popular than ever. People try the medical stuff once, and then find a dealer

@Ineeddentures isn’t the medicinal stuff to treat certain medical conditions not for those that desire recreation use?

@lovebuglena Here's the thing The recreational stuff will treat the same conditions but do it better , and give the patient a proper high No point using the medical stuff at all unless you wanna be a goody two shoes It's like people who smoke it and say that they dont inhale

The stuff he got with a script was not as strong as the stuff you buy over the counter.

The stuff he got on the script from the doctor was not even strong with THC at all Bit the stuff I gave him that I buy on the street got him stoned good and proper, and eased the pain from his arthritis straight away He said mine is much better lol

Here it is sold legally in our country. I don't know if there are still people who take prescribed pot, but there could be.

@Ineeddentures That is such a rough show. I don't know if we are advanced so much as our government wanted to legalize it so that they could collect the sales taxes on it.And if memory serves me correct, our prime minister at the time it became legal, also was a smoker.

@Juliaacv Yes advanced. Why not raise taxes from it We need to do that here although I don't mind buying mine from a dealer Was it Trudeau?

My dad used to have an ID for that stuff when he was still alive. My dad had type 1 diabetes, and have been taking insulin everyday and had some other illnesses as well.

I didn't realize there was such a price difference. Doesn't seem fair.
