Who knows Ziggy?

I'm referring to that American cartoon character from a comic strip in the 70s. I didn't read that comic strip. I couldn't even read when I first got a glimpse of Ziggy. Got a glimpse of Ziggy? From where? In the early 80s, Tang came in a big glass jar and there was a free Ziggy finger puppet in it. I would dig the jar just to look for Ziggy and I would jump with glee each time I got a new one. The fun thing was, there's always a new design each and every single time my mom and I would open a new jar. When I checked google about it, it said the free Ziggy finger puppet was exclusively distributed only in the Philippines. Guess Ziggy got a huge fan base here then.

I remember Ziggy very well. Your Ziggy puppets might be worth something now.

Yes, I saw some people selling them on Facebook. Unfortunately, my mother must have thrown away all our Ziggy collections.

@LindaOHio Yes, my mother has thrown or given away all our toys. I remember my sisters had a box full of paper dolls. When I was old enough to want to play with them, I couldn't find them anymore. My mom said she threw them away. So I bought my own paper dolls.

@JudyEv It wasn't really on tv. It was a cartoon character in a comic strip.

@toniganzon It might have been once my boys were too old for cartoons and I just never saw it.

I don’t really remember Ziggy very well, but I must have seen it once or twice because the figure looks slightly familiar.

The only time I really saw Ziggy is in Tang. Don't remember seeing him in the papers I was reading later on. Guess he wasn't that popular in our generation anymore when I started school.

I cannot say that I recall Ziggy. He is cute looking. I have an air freshener in the back seat that slips onto the vent and it looks like ziggy. He is white and when my granddaughters first saw it they called it a ghost.

@mememine It wasn't in our local papers anymore when I started reading the news in the 90s. But it was during the early 80s.
