Well, I saw this movie during my flight to Denmark. I found it quite interesting and thought of sharing about it. This is a 1967 classic with a gripping story. The plot follows Major Reisman as he recruits twelve death-row convicts for a high-stakes commando mission against Nazi officers. Major Reisman forces these criminals to work as a team, leading to a gritty and humorous clash of personalities. The film maintains constant tension through Lee Marvin's strong performance and a fast-moving script. The movie proves that true cinematic impact comes from sharp writing rather than modern special effects. Source referred :

Some films nowadays seem to rely on the special effects for their impact. The storyline can be quite 'ordinary'.

@JudyEv I like both kinds - but those with a better story are more memorable.
