It is nice to see the jackfruits hanging from the trees

The jackfruits are really funny vegetable and fruits. When vegetable they are called enchor in bengali and eat it with potatoes and rice. When fruit they become yellow and called kanthal and is eaten leaving the seeds apart. Even the seeds are cooked as vegetable. @sathviksouvik I love Indian cuisine and wonder now if I have eaten it without knowing. I’m going to pay more attention from now on and look at menus more carefully.

thanks Dianne they grow well in bengal. The vegetable form is cooked as curry and is eaten with chapatis.

I have only tasted jackfruit once It was yellow And had no seeds visible
