Why old and gray people things are advertised by young and gray people.

Have you noticed that pretty much all of the actors in commercials for old people things like hearing aids, stairlifts, shower supports and the like are rather attractive and surprisingly physically fit old people that probably dont need these gadgets and things. In fact many could pass as 50 somethings. Where are the 80-year-old obese people or 75-year-old ugly men with with little hair who cant cross the road without a mobility scooter? Where are the disabled people in the ads who need this kit? It's always a silver fox or a lady with an insane figure for 75 battling with the shower curtain. It a bit like adverts for chocolates and cakes always featuring slim people. As the Mad Men said- 'sex sells everything and anything'.

I agree with you totally - even though there are some 75 year old ladies with " insane" figures around.

And usually people think that those ladies are a lot younger. I know, I know even too well.

@LadyDuck Especially these days with AI and photo enhancement some would prefer to believe that is the case with those who look half their age... While it is really the result of genes, eating right and taking care of oneself.

@Kandae11 - You are right, it's only a matter of genes and when you meet people in person you do not have the filters, they see you as you are.

You are so right, healthy slim old people do not need those things.
