Sorry Sis I think you're wrong

So, sis emailed awhile ago saying hang onto your 2025 pennies and don't spend them because they are worth 15.00 a penny... So, I checked into this. I don't see anyone buying them for that much, but the rolls are worth alot. If you have a roll of 2025 pennies you can cash in. I do have an uncirculated penny here, but I have to check whether it is 2024 or 2025. I saved it, because I knew it would be worth something at some point. Do you have any 2025 pennies? You might want to save them.

No idea, but hubs has a pile of coins here and up north. Yes, he uses cash to pay for small items.

Check your pennies before you spend them. IF you have enough for a roll or two or three so much the better

@DianneN Hey, why the heck not, if you can make like 40 bucks on every roll?

@snowy22315 I told hubs. He’s not interested in doing that, so I may have to.

Those kind of stories circulated here when they first discontinued making pennies too. But within a few years the banks stopped taking pennies and now they are worthless, unless you want a rolled paper weight.

I really don’t know. I haven’t really thought about it. I might check later.

I have a penny jar...well, two penny jars as one is full. (not a great big jar by any means.) I generally take them to the bank once in awhile and use their coin machine and then I have a few dollars of ''mad'' money...haha. I am sure I may have some, I will have to check.

I usually cash in my coins when my container is full. It mostly has silver in it though.

I doubt that's true. They need to stay in circulation

They are buying rolls for up to 40.00 but not individual pennies for a large amount of money.

I haven't heard anything about collecting pennies. I rarely use cash for anything, so I don't usually have any change laying around.
