If you could start a charity, what would it be for?

There are a lot of good charities out there. Some of the overlap.
I was leaning toward animals, but a lot of things are already out there for them.
I would start a charity for Widows/Widowers who need help taking care of their basic needs due to income, mobility, or health issues. I would establish a Care Connection for them so that they would have weekly visitors to stave off loneliness. I would connect them with Senior Community Centers and have volunteers to teach them technology like SmartPhones, etc.
If you could start a charity, what would it be for?

I did think of that
But thought there were enough cat charities on the go as it is
But cats are my favourite animals so I would want to help them

@Ineeddentures I fear there is always room for more charities, sadly

If I could go back in time, I would start a charity for animals and make that my life's job. I like your idea a lot. I would take advantage of the services you offer.

As someone who has been involved in animal rescue for years, I can honestly say that no, there is not enough shelters, or homes, for animals here in the US. So often they are full to capacity--and you wouldn't believe how many people have had to give up their pets because they can't afford them right now. I have preached ''Don't Shop--Adopt!'' for so many years.
If I could ever start a charity...of course, animals. And also a charity to help seniors and those in need that can't afford the proper veterinarian care for their pets. Another would be one to help with the cost of dental care for those who need it, and for those pesky charges that so many medical insurances don't want to cover. I could go on and on...as we grow older, I think we notice needs more than we did when we were very young.

I have no idea at all what so would start a charity for
Asylum seekers probably and doing something to help them settle here as it must be quite daunting starting a new life in another country after fleeing your home because of persecution and war

I am sure that all charitirs are started. So I would contribute more to the one my heart is nearer to. I contribute a bit, as much as I can, to children with cancer. In my country there are children that are left in the hospital when they are dying and parents give up on them.

I' m such a dog lover but there are a lot of charities for dogs already. I love children too and I'm more inclined to have a charity for abandoned children. A charity that could send them to school and give them proper education.

If I could start a charity, my heart goes to the animals. I’d focus on rescuing strays, giving them proper medical care, and making sure they have safe shelters and loving homes. Animals can’t speak for themselves, so I’d want to be part of giving them the protection and care they deserve.
