The bad news is I can't get an appointment until March 26. Also, not sure how long it will take to fix it. I may have said before, friend took his truck to this guy several years ago..They fixed it for half of what they wanted in Fairfax County ( Nova) but it took a week. I just had the oil changed though..so it is running well for now..He also said my oil leak has no bearing on whether it will pass or not..so that is good. I am going to be so glad when March is over. This month has been trying and it's not over yet!

You have to get whatever is wrong fixed, There will be things that need to be fixed, but hoping it will be manageable. The other garage where I had the oil change said the tires and brakes with the exception of the emergency brake are good to go, because I was worried about those. Also, the oil gasket is leaking,,but the inspection guy said won't have any bearing on passing..

@Ineeddentures The emergency brake if it has to be replaced could be expensive though, They always seem to find stuff..you have no idea about..but I think this guy is on the level..hopefully he won't come up with any problems to line his pockets.

Sounds pretty much like the MOT test here.
If a leaky gasket is the worst of any problems it isn't much to worry about

I'm so sorry March isn't so good for you. March 26 seem too far away but the days will go so quick it would be the 26 before you know it.

The summer can stay at bay for as long as possible. However, not sure how long it will be before hot weather takes over. Some years it is hot by Easter.
