Our bipolar weather

The weather is crazy! Yesterday, we had our windows open. It was 80°. My daughter came home from work and took her shoes and socks off because her feet were hot and I went out to dinner without any coat. As I was coming home from dinner, it began to storm. A wicked thunder and lightning storm with gale force winds. It had let up by the time I got home but wasn't chilly, although the breezes were. My daughter said it was 65° when she left for work so she left the windows open. She also turned the heater off and didn't tell me. When I woke up, I shut my window because it felt really cold. But the heater didn't come on. By the time I sent a message to my daughter, thinking the furnace wasn't working, it was 59° inside and snowing like crazy. Everything was covered. She finally texted me to tell me she had shut the furnace off this morning. It's 32° outside. So now the heat is on and I can feel it warming up in here. Yes!

That sounds like Missouri weather. We were in the 50s yesterday when we got up and the temp dropped to 38F by evening and then to 29F by the next morning with heavy winds. Thankfully, we didn't have rain or snow. My bedroom has a West facing window and that sun coming in during the afternoon really heats the house up. My bedroom can reach 80F and I'm too hot.

That's how mine was at our old house. Here, there are a lot of shade trees and my bedroom faces north with two huge Holy trees as sunlight blocks. I hope my room is cooler here than it was at the old place.

@jerzgirl I told Pretty that we need to get a reflective film put on the West facing windows and that would help keep the house cooler during the summer. At our last house the houses across the street blocked the sun in the afternoon so the house never got too hot during the summer. I hope your room is cooler this summer, too..

I think everything gets confusing and that the world can't decide and stand on it firmly just like the weather.

The air conditioner was on yesterday because it was so hot and muggy. This morning, I had to turn the heat on. It was ridiculous. Thankfully, the heat was only running briefly.
