Yes, I am definitely feeling better and my mojo is coming back…..
After being out of action for almost a year , I am now starting to feel more like ‘ me ‘.
I have started with some side hustles ….selling various things, it brings in money to pay for treats…..and this morning I have had a splurge on my kitchen cupboards.
To my horror there was food that was out of date ….not by much , but still out of date ….so that had to go, several boxes of various cereals were open and not been used in a while, and there were bottles of pop that should be fizzy, but alas, has gone flat.
This is what happens when you are out of action …..and it’s left to The Mister and the Grandkids ….l
Our bin is almost full and it’s not emptied til next Monday so I am going to ask The Mister to come with me after dark, over to Johns and put half a dozen bags into his bin.
Cheeky I know, but I’m sure he wouldn’t have minded.
I could do with a nap really but still have tidying to do ….
I may reward myself with a coffee and Baileys later ….
What are you up to today ?

I am glad you are active now on what do you usually do.
And it's good to know that you noticed the expiry date or it could be trouble.
Nothing much to day, I was glued to my computer the whole day. God bless, and have a great weekend ahead.

I had some paid work to do, then I've spent about an hour unblocking drains! Horrible, but necessary - and successful
Then I did a bit of work in the garden, and now I'm going to do some cooking because I went to the shop for milk and came back with 3 packs of two courgettes, and 2 packs of three red peppers, all reduced to 10p each. So it's ratatouille for dinner, and roasted pepper soup (using leeks from the garden) for tomorrow.

Oh what a productive day …..
Sorry about the blocked drains …..I won’t ask what had blocked them , but I’m pleased you were able to unblock them !
Great bargain with the veggies ….well done you. Your ratatouille and soup sound delicious.

@Traceyjayne I don't know what caused the blockage but I think something has just built up over time. And the way the rooms are designed, there are two bathrooms next to each other and it seems that the bath and basin in the first feed into the sewer from the toilet there, then that passes into the next room where the shower and bath and toilet all join it. But the previous owners liked everything to be neat, so every pipe is tidily boxed in and the sewer pipe is inside the actual wall of the house, so it's practically impossible to get at anything! But they are obviously all joined up that way because that explains why the shower is so high up (the sewer pipe must pass underneath) and why, when I plunged the drain of the bath in one room, horrible dirt came up into the bath and shower in the other room
I'm sure you didn't really want to know that. I felt like I had to wash my hands over and over.
I'm looking forward to my dinner now though!

@Fleura at least you managed to get it sorted …the dirt coming up in a different room made me laugh though ! At least you checked and it wasn’t a horrible surprise when you next went in there.
Boxing pipes off seems like a good idea but it can cause problems for the next owners ….as you have found out !
