Of course no-one tells the truth in war unless it’s wrung out of them. Every side boasts and swaggers about its gains and downplays any reversals and that’s how it always is. So none of us really knows what all’s going on regarding Iran, the US, Israel etc. We only hear versions of the truth carefully curated. History however gives some sort of indication of the final result. Whenever the “Western world” goes off trying to teach other places lessons, they eventually, after doing untold damage, are forced to turn tail and retreat, painting it as a victory. Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq - defeat and failure all the way. Iran will be the same.
