There is a ground stop at the airports surrounding Washington DC and even the Richmond airport

There was a strong chemical smell in the facility that services these airports. I was initially concerned it was terrorism, but it turned out to be a false alarm. In reading the updates, they said it was an overheated circuit board. I think these days everyone is on edge, and concerned about possible terrorism, around every corner. Is anyone in your area, a bit paranoid as well? Another thing I have noticed is there has been more fly overs over the nuclear plant located just about 5 miles from here. I have iodine tablets here, but doubt that would be enough to save my life in an event.

@snowy22315 - You never know where they decide to do something bad. I am concerned.

You are in the Midwest, with nothing of note around..other than something like happened with the Murrow building, you wouldn't be a likely target here. With the close proximity to DC here. I think we have more to worry about.

@snowy22315 The Murrah building bombing was catastrophic, showing anything can happen, anywhere, any time, and any place.
