Reset Day

I slept a bit later today. Something that I enjoy after a busy week. For some reason, I find it much easier and more natural to sleep a bit later after we spring back. I hope that it lasts. We've had days of both winter and spring this past week. This morning is beginning like a winter's day, we woke to another dusting of snow. We will have a spring day tomorrow, with temperatures at least 15 degrees higher. I began working under at new manager and on a new team last week. That was exhausting mentally. It is still a work in progress, and that could explain the need for the extra sleep this morning. Today is a reset day, and tomorrow back to the usual schedule. ~Photo is mine (A fish out of water)

A catfish in the grass. I hope you will have a better new week, the first week with a new manager was surely stressful.

Part of me felt like that catfish must have felt like. Although we released him back into his habitat, in the creek, and he swam away happily, so maybe the same for me. Yesterday I got out my candy molds and made some pretty butterfly chocolates for the girls. They cannot fathom chocolate coming in different colours. I will be happy to see the looks on their faces when they taste the coloured butterflies and realize that they are chocolate. Yesterday they all went, as a family, to a hands-on children's activity place in another city about 3 hours from here to spend the day. They do lots of experiments there, suitable for small children. They will have lots of stories to tell, as they usually do, after a day away like that.

@Juliaacv - I am sure the fish was happy and may be next week you will feel as happy as that fish. The girls will be amazed by the colorful chocolate butterflies. Today you are going to listen to plenty of interesting stories.

@LadyDuck Ron wants to stay in together today. He has been working on his jigsaw puzzle and he likes me near so that we can chat now and then when I take a break from reading. I just looked up a recipe for apple-cranberry crisp, and I believe that I will make one for dessert. We are both craving a quiet day in together today. Jonathon and Klaudia can enjoy the same with the girls, those are the days that we make the sweetest memories. I am thankful that they got out yesterday, when the roads were clear, this morning we woke to another dusting of snow of a few cm, and it is quite cold and windy outside.

Thanks, I hope you do too. Since it is cold and snowy outside, I won't be starting my day with a walk, but maybe later on.

Hopefully, you will have adjusted enough by this week that it won't be as stressful. Happy Sunday Reset Day.

I'm on a new prescription medication to help me stay more "wakeful" during the day (I was going to bed at 4 pm) and I was afraid it would wire me up and not let me sleep at night, but I'm sleeping fine, just less and going to bed later. I really like it.

You were sleeping away too much of your life-I'm glad that you are onto something that allows you to be awake more and feel better. I slept so great last night, like a baby.

@Juliaacv Yes I feel very hopeful like I've got my life back and I didn't even know I had lost my life

@LooeyVille Things like that usually creep up pretty quickly on us. I hope that you can find a way to fill that time so that you do not give it back to sleeping again, make it purposeful. I find that I go to bed early if I've had a bad day-it can be my way of escaping it.
