Ventspils Lighthouse is a significant historical landmark located in Ventspils, Latvia. Courland, or Kurzeme, is a historical region located in western Latvia. It is also known as the Užava Lighthouse. The lighthouse plays a crucial role in guiding ships safely into the port of Ventspils, reflecting the city's maritime heritage. Originally built in 1897, the lighthouse was relocated to the south breakwater of Ventspils port after being destroyed during World War I. The lighthouse is situated on the Baltic Sea coast, making it accessible for tourists.

I find lighthouses beautiful. Whenever I visit one, I make sure I take photos of them.

That one looks newer and renovated. Oh, I see you said it was relocated after being destroyed.

I know too little of the geography of that part of the earth. I will give some time to studying that region.
