"Today" is the most important day

I was just reading an article on a certain blog. I bumped into it through a facebook page. Sadly the author is no more but his words are as alive as anything living. The beautifully written article was about life, life is for the living. No one can make a dead person, thing or dream happy. The author insisted that "Today" is the most important day in one's life. It is the only day that one has to use. Again, what touched me more is that it is best utilized if used to make someone else feel USEFUL! How are you going to make someone feel useful today?

I haven’t been out of my apartment today so I haven’t had the chance to make someone feel useful. But it sounds like what you read were wise words.

Today as I was coming back from the store, I met a little boy trying to cross the road all by himself so I helped him. I guess I have help someone today and I'm happy about that.

That is such a beautiful and meaningful thought. Sometimes we are so busy thinking about the past or worrying about the future that we forget the value of “today”. I like the idea that today is the only day we truly have to use. Making someone feel useful is also a very powerful thing. Sometimes it doesn’t require something big. It can be as simple as appreciating someone's effort, listening to them, asking for their help, or reminding them that their presence matters. Today, I think one way I can make someone feel useful is by showing genuine appreciation for what they do, even for the small things. When people feel valued, they realize that their existence truly makes a difference.
