Bulluciems Lighthouse is a historic maritime landmark located in Latvia. It translates to "Bull Village" in English. Constructed in 1956, it is situated at the mouth of the Lielupe River, on the eastern edge of Jurmala. The lighthouse, named after the nearby Bulli Manor (Bullenhof), has served as a crucial navigation aid for sailors since its inception. The lighthouse is notable for its architectural design and its role in maritime history. It stands between the Lielupe River and the Bulluciems area, providing guidance to vessels navigating the Riga Gulf. Visitors can enjoy scenic walks along the coastline.
The area developed as a fishing village after the Lielupe River formed an estuary in 1755, leading to the establishment of a fishing community. It is home to the Jurmala Open Air Museum, showcasing local history and culture. The region features one of Latvia's highest dunes, Ragakapa, enhancing its natural beauty and attracting visitors.

@AmbiePam just the one I mentioned but it probably covers a lot of territory. Here you go from the Internet
The museum spans 21 hectares along the Lielupe River, featuring reconstructions of typical homes and work environments.
It houses nearly 2,000 exhibits, including tools used by fishermen and a collection of anchors and fishing boats.
Visitors can explore a fisherman’s court and enjoy the authentic setting that reflects the region's cultural heritage.

Wow, that’s very interesting. I’m sure you’ve seen all of the old lighthouses we have here in America, and that’s what I think of when someone says “lighthouse.”

Yes, the Bulluciems Lighthouse is automated. It features modern technology, including a solar-powered lighting system, which allows it to operate without manual intervention. This automation enhances its efficiency and reliability in guiding vessels safely along the coast
