To be honest, I haven't seen many documentaries.
At the gym this week, though, there's been this show called something like "30/30" or something from ESPN, it's from a long time ago and it's been highlighting past athletes and their backstories. Is that sort of like a documentary?
I saw one that I really enjoyed introducing me to a football player named Reggie White who played for the Philadelphia Eagles, then later the Greenbay Packers. He was a Christian man who took every opportunity during every television interview after a game to give thanks to God and praise Jesus. It was a very heartwarming mini-documentary. I didn't see the whole thing because I'm only on the treadmill for 30 minutes so I only saw 30 minutes of it.
Then yesterday there was one about football player Michael Vick, who scandalously went to prison for running a brutal dogfighting ring in Virginia. Don't get me started on Michael Vick! Grrrrr!
But back to my original question - do you like watching documentaries? Why or why not?

@looeyville I’m a sucker for nature documentaries - plants or animals. Everyone keeps their clothes on in such programmes which is usually helpful. I’ve just watched the episode of The Diplomat where the British Prime Minister does the dance with no pants with his wife and his bottom really wasn’t very nice to have to see. I suppose credit must be given for choosing his own wife to do the business with rather than the wife of someone else. Still, I didn’t need to see that bottom.

Oh that was an ugly scene. White pasty bottom and the wife saying "Vigorous!" without passion.

@LooeyVille Makes you wonder what the writers based this on!

I do, and I like them, especially if it is something I am interested in. I hate Michael Vick. I think he is quite possibly a psychopath..I won't watch any programs with him in.

Girl, if I were with you, you wouldn’t get me to shut up. I’m familiar with both of these athletes, and the docuseries, 30 for 30 is something I’ve seen several times on ESPN.
I get in a documentary mood and will go weeks watching them. Then, I get sick of them and won’t take a look at any for months.
