Picking up the keys.

As I prepare to toddle (or trot) off to Donegal on Friday, I have just received a message from the owner of the cottage regarding gaining access when we arrive. The key will be in the front door. Isn’t that nice and uncomplicated? No need for codes or trying to get there at a pre-arranged time to meet the owner. No figuring out under which flower pot the key has been secreted. Just turn up and walk in.

I have an old fashioned key. Only my dad has an extra. Meanwhile, my dad has a keypad you need a code to. Do you know how many people know his code? I kid you not, about fifteen people. That drives me nuts.

Aye. Sometimes the easiest way is the best way. That will be a good start to your break, assuming the travel element goes well

The place must be safe enough that the owner is confident to left the key.
