Roles of fathers in today's society

In the past, fathers where known as the sole providers and protectors of their families, in modern society today, we have seen cases where even the mothers also provides, the roles of fathers has now gone beyond just providing, but fathers are also expected to support emotionally, mentally and even spiritually as well, and i feel a lot of people today do not understand this aspect before they actually decide to be fathers.whats your take on this?

Some fathers also take on the role of a mother after they get divorced so they provide everything their child needs. I did that after getting divorced from my 1st wife. She refused to see our daughter and wouldn't even call her on my daughter's birthday or Christmas. I always told Pretty that her mother still loved her but couldn't stand being around me long enough to see her. Just so you're aware, my daughter just turned 38 in February and still lives with me.
