Only when my first ex-wife kidnapped our daughter and took her to another state in the US. Since they crossed state lines, the police couldn't help me so I hired a Private Investigator to find my daughter and bring her home again. It took them a few days but Pretty was home safe with me fairly quickly.

@augusta123 She lost custody of our daughter to me and didn't like it so was determined to keep Pretty away from me as long as she could. She did that three times over the seven years it took for our divorce to be final.
After the third time of her kidnapping my daughter, the judge said she could only see Pretty in my home while I was present and she couldn't bring anybody else with her. That's when my ex stopped calling Pretty or coming to see her until Pretty sent a letter to her saying she was going to college. THEN my ex asked if she could take Pretty home with her for the weekend... Since my full custody ended after high school was over for Pretty, I told her it was up to Pretty.
Pretty decided she did want to see her mom but called me less than an hour later. All her mom wanted to do was talk Pretty out of going to college. Pretty wanted to come home but her mom wouldn't bring her back. I drove the hour to pick Pretty up and bring her back here again.

I think pretty would have at least stay with her mom when she said let her come, I'm sure she won't had kidnap pretty. And what your ex also did is wrong. So for the kidnap case, did the police arrest her?
