Last night we had mild frost. Sun warmed the world but left the grass and weeds wet. Two or three weeks ago I bought a battery powered weed trimmer. Then of course it rained. I've been told to not mow or trim when it is damp. This afternoon the grass was mostly dryer. Ha. I had figured out exactly how to fit the battery onto its charger so that it would charge. I did it. I packed the trimmer out through the house and figured out how to fit the battery onto the trimmer. Whee haw. The trimmer is taller than me. Shaky me. I feel good and I am green. The unruly grass patch is now thick and much shorter. I guess I am not quite ready for a nursing home. I will still pay to get the property mowed but some of the work will be done by me. In a bit I probably will go rake up some of the mown green grass and dump it in a garden box for mulch.
