Met my Mom for a shopping trip …..

I met my Mom this morning at the supermarket ready to do the weeks shopping. She looked really tired this morning. I think , although she is on the mend after the Shingles, it has really taken it out of her.
She isn’t in nearly so much pain and the rash has blistered now.
It’s left her feeling very tired.
Luckily she didn’t need much shopping and I already had mine in the trolley before meeting her so we were quite quick today,
It’s one thing I really look forward to ….shopping with my Mom.
Do you shop alone or with family or friends ?

We mostly do the shopping together although I've had to learn to be patient. Vince takes forever in the meat aisle but that's okay. He cooks me some lovely meals.

The Mister cooks a lovely steak ….i let him pick them out when we go shopping. Although as I like mine rare he says he doesn’t cook it , he just shows it a warm pan !

@Traceyjayne The last few steaks and chops we've had have been extra tender. Vince has been letting the meat 'rest' for ten minutes before serving it. It does seem to make a difference.

@Traceyjayne Oh I do not know if there is such a timeline. Mine lasted different amounts of times, depending on the severity of it and how quickly it came on.

They said 4 to 6 weeks for the Shingles to go …even longer given her age.

He seems fine now ….the headache lasted a couple of days but that’s gone now.

@traceyjayne My wife and I discovered a very long time ago that shopping together does not make for matrimonial bliss. I do the food shopping alone.

I do a small shop with The Mister but not a big one …..for the same reason as yourself and your wife.
Shopping with Mom is totally different though.
