I am a longtime fan of "Buffy, the Vampire Slayer" TV series that was on from 1997 until 2003. I enjoyed the dialogue early in the series and am a fan of vampires so it was a no brainer. I just finished watching the series again about a week ago thinking I would update my memory of the series because of the upcoming sequel of the series that Hulu was producing. Come to find out Hulu decided not to go forward with the new series and canceled the pilot. That was bummer #1. #2 came just now as I find out today that Nicolas Brendon who played Xander Harris in the series died in his sleep on March 20. He was 54. (Another gal who played Buffy's sister in the series also died a few years ago. Both young and unsure of the reason behind their deaths.) I know he had had some drinking issues the last few years. He was living by himself in Indiana when he died. He did have a history of cardiac issues. The coroner found no potential signs of foul play and toxicology results are pending. In October of 2014 Brendon was arrested right here in Boise, Idaho after some issues arose at a hotel where he was staying. He did have a history of drinking and there have been several arrests down through the years since Buffy. RIP Nicolas/Xander.

He played Xander. One of Buffy's best friends.
