The rain has converted the violet hibiscus into pinkish violet

March 26, 2026 9:14pm CST
It rained heavily yesterday in Calcutta. The rain converted my violet hibiscus into pinkish violet. It was really amazing. The hibiscus is planted in pots in my balcony. I used to think rain makes leaves look darker green. But the colour of the petals of hibiscus became lighter. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/l8BlrW-rOIA

My hibiscus has been flowering but the flowers don't last long.

Don’t you hate that? If only we could hit pause on their beauty.

That’s a beautiful color. I have purple, white, and pink hibiscus plants. The rain doesn’t change their colors, but the blooms drop off every day. Beauty is so fleeting.

@sathviksouvik My husband planted them years ago. They got so tall, that he cut them down, but they grew again. I bought Pygmy hibiscus for a different garden all pink. They won’t grow as large. Lol
