What is one food you hated as a child but love it now you are an adult?

When I was a child, I hated fried plantain. Anytime my mom give me a meal with fried plantain, i always throw it away. I hated the smell of fry plantain. But look at me today, a lover of plantains. If anyone would have told me I would fall in love with plantain i won't have believed it. No one knows tomorrow. What is one food you hated as a child but love it now?

I hated broccoli when I was growing up but it's my favorite veggie now. Pretty used to like it as a kid but she won't touch it now. She gripes when I make it for me.

Things do happen like that. If you hated something when you are a kid you may later like it as an adult. If you liked something when you were a kid, you may later hate it as you grow older. Nothing is perfect.

@augusta123 Very true... I hated okra as a kid. My mom kept trying to make me eat it. Once, I threw up on the dinner table and dad told mom to quit making me eat it. When dad passed away, mom thought she could make me eat okra again... I went out to the garden, pulled all the okra plants up and fed them to the horses... Then went back in the house and told mom to get the belt and spank me because I'd gotten rid of her nasty okra plants and she'd never eat okra again as long as I lived with her. She started crying... I didn't care!

I would have to say mushrooms. I used to hate the texture and taste, but now I love so many types of them.

I hated several veggies when I was a child but the one I hated most was my now loved cauliflower. I have discovered that when I was a child veggies were usually overcooked. I like most of them al dente.

Tomatoes, I did not like them as a little but love, love, love them now. The only thing I wouldn't do is eat them like an apple like I have seen some people do.

As a child I hated to eat green beans. As an adult, I have learned to like it for diet reasons.

I did not " hate" any food as a child. If I had ever said that I " hated"'food I would have been punished for mis use of a word with such a strong meaning Hate, save it for something hateworthy. Not to describe feeling you think you had for food

Yep that's right
