Employees with the Saratoga County Water Authority in Glen Falls New York saw a cat that was on a layer of thin ice that needed to be rescued on Wednesday.
Firefighters with the Glen Falls Fire Department used a banana boat to get the drivers to the area in the pond where the cat was picked up by a firefighter and taken to the shore safe and sound.
The cat was taken by the authorities to a veterinarian since the cat did not have an identification collar to see if the cat can be reunited with its owner.
It is not known if the cat entered the pond by itself or if someone took the cat to the pond.
The good news is that the cat was rescued.

It's always good when a cat has a happy ending George
I really hope that the cat was not thrown into the pond on purpose.
That would be cruel
Poor kitty

I just hope that the cat walked into the pond under its power.

I also hope that the cat entered the pond on its own.

Just now
That cat would have been very pleased to be rescued and taken to somewhere warm.
