A Gesture

In our country, at least in our town, people don't say "Thanks" or " Thank you" to you, if you do something good to them. They just look at you with a sweet, friendly smile on their faces, sometimes talk to you, and they leave But then on you can always expect them to help you when you are in need.

Thank you. But such a gesture is cool , I think. After all, they become one of your well wishing friends.

Thank you, my friend. I don't know why they don't say those words, but that's what's here

@Shivram59 it's almost same here. the bus driver stopped for one passanger, opened the doors but passanger didn't say thank you. also, at work and other areas too. it should be said more, in my opinion

@valherma00 I understand. In some places , it seems, people have begun thinking it as unnecessary.

Thank you. Here only a sweet smile is considered enough to return the favour. But then on they will be always found to be true and very helpful friends.
