Our family has always lived rurally and while some people enjoy the peace and serenity of it, it gives me the cabin fever I guess you would say.
With my husbands health we decided we needed to live closer to the hospital so now we are living in suburbia. I love it, it has taken husband awhile to get used to it but now he does like it.
Living rurally we saw a lot of wild animals, deer, turkey, squirrels. But nothing ever really came into ouhe r yard.
Now we have squirrels all over the place. Much to my cats dismay he will see one and chase it around the house. Maybe that's saying it wrong, He runs from window to window to keep an eye on them. Its quite cute.
Anyhow, there is a thrift store here that we love to frequent and we were there late fall and someone had brought in a box of black walnuts. Husband asked for some and they gave him the entire box.
Black walnuts have a thick hull and whenever we've had black walnuts to hull we put them on the driveway and drive over them two or three times. So husband puts them on the driveway and says we will drive over them "tomorrow."
Tomorrow comes and we go to get in the car but there actually wasn't no sense in it. The squirrels had stolen of the black walnuts. It was kind of funny.

We have a lot of squirrels running around here too. I'm sure they were extremely happy to steal your walnuts

@Ciclis I feel bad for him and that's a lot of nuts to lose to those squirrels. Guaranteed they'll be looking for more treats from you guys.
