I just took the clothes out of the dryer and I'm cleaning the lint trap and I got me thinking. When I was in elementary school there was a kid in my class that was terrified of the lint trap. I don't know if they have had a fire that had to do with the lint trap, or if he was just paranoid. But anytime we had any class or meeting or assembly about fire safety he always had to make sure that it was all up to date on proper lint trap information period that got me thinking do you remember it being drilled into your head that you had to change your lint trap after every load? Do you as an adult change it after every load comma or do you let it slide a couple times depending on how much you think was in the load? Inquiring minds want to know.

I've only had a dryer for a couple of decades but don't use it a lot. I clean the lint thingy after every use.

I used to hang laundry out. But we don’t have anything set up here for that. And it’s rainy season so it wouldn’t end up being beneficial

@thislittlepennyearns Here, it's only in the middle of winter that we can't dry clothes outside.

I clean it every time. We came THIS CLOSE to a fire (from the dryer) many years ago (both of my parents were still alive, so it was very long ago). I don't 100% know if that contributed to it, but I'm not taking any chances.
