Where Has My Mail Been?

We didn't receive any mail for three days.
We have the Informed Delivery option with USPS that scans images of your mail and sends you an email of what mail you'll be getting each day. Three days said we weren't getting any mail.
Then suddenly today there's a ton of mail in our mailbox, none of which was ever scanned or indicated we'd be receiving it.
Where has it been?
I have no faith or trust in the U.S. Postal Service.

I have received absolutely no mail since last Thursday. I even went to the post office. I was told that they were “running behind.” I am with son at appointments for now but I hope I have mail when I check the mailbox later. Everyone here is complaining about the same issue.

My nephew's soon to be wife has that advance mail listing too. I sent him a bday card last Saturday, and they still don't have it yet.

I try not to use them as much as possible. But I still need to sometimes. I should check our mail.
