One Check Received, Still Expecting One Check

Two of my doctors don't take insurance anymore, so I have to pay them up front and file a claim with my health insurance company for reimbursement. It was a pain at first and I had to Appeal twice when they denied the claims, but now there's about a 45 day turnaround time until I get my reimbursement. Yesterday's surprise mail delivery included a health insurance check. Yay! That was $275 Now I'm still waiting for a $400 check from the cruise line for refund of the deposit on the cruise that my friend needed to cancel that was scheduled for October of this year. They finally got it straightened out after two months and have issued the check. Now I'm just waiting for it in the mail. Don't you just hate being out money and having to wait for the slow reimbursement?

It would be hard for me to have to lay out that money upfront and wait for a reimbursement. Hope you get your $400 soon for the cancelled cruise. Glad that you got your reimbursment for the doctor,

It took until February to get fully reimbursed for the cruise we were supposed to go on in September last year. I’m glad to hear your insurance reimburses you for those doctor appointments.
