Do you have strong relationship with your next neighbor?

It is amazing how we easily make friends and build relationships online.
Most of us know people online deeper than we know our next door neighbours. Many people don't have relationships with their next door neighbours but have strong relationships with a couple of people online.
As for me, I don't have a strong relationship with my next-door neighbour. It is not like we don't greet every day, but I've decided to be careful with oversharing things with neighbours as some of them might end up using that against you in the future.
Do you have a very strong relationship with your next door neighbour still?

I have some very nice neighbors. We sort of watch out for each other in our way. I only have one neighbor that I truly wish would move away, a lady at the end of the block. Her adult son starts in about midnight every night, flies down the street and screeches to a stop at his mom's house. He might leave once or twice and come back, and leave for good about 5 AM. Sometimes someone is with him, sometimes not, but he can be extremely loud. He takes corners on two wheels.

True, but he sleeps there...sort of. So he lives there.

Well, though I don't really have strong relationships with my next-door neighbors, we do sometimes help out each out, we just don't really have much common topics or interests to talk about. We do have each other's contact numbers, so in case of anything, we might still call or message each other for help or questions. We have been staying in this neighborhood for perhaps 10-20 years, so even though we are not very closed to each other, our relationships are considered as "okay". One of my neighbors always likes to give us some nice food too, as they always have extra (as they always have friends visiting them and having meals at their home), and we have kids at home.
I think it's still fine - as I can't expect everyone to be closed friends, especially when we are adults, it seems like it's still better to be careful when sharing things with others....

@augusta123 Another issue is, once a neighbor knows a piece of information, some other neighbors might know too... I have heard about this from my mom, in my childhood neighborhood. Even though some neighbors are actually nice, but they might also tell others about your stuff and they might not say it correctly, some others might have some mis-understanding with you.... Some people just don't think they shouldn't tell others things about you, especially when you are not around. Is this considered as gossip? Gossips in neighborhood are quite scary, as we might be staying in the same neighborhood for quite a long time.... :D

Yeah, you have to be careful when sharing things with others because you can't really tell who is who.

Yeah, you are right you have to be careful of what you tell your neighbor, they can spread it and even add some lies.

@augusta123 Yeah. Right now, as you probably saw, I am still hostage in my house (for perhaos another hour or so).. But this too shall pass.

One side our neighbours are lovely. The other side used to be okay but we don't have much to do with them now ....they keep themselves to themselves and we rarely see them out of the house.

I could not create any relationship for my long university hours. My mother and wife have good relationship with the neighbours

Yes, thank God, I have a good relationship with my next-door neighbor, and with all of the people that I know on the block. The ones I don't know, I at least wave to. My next-door neighbors are like family.
