I would think it would be the most accurate rating for the President. They were talking about how Army is not meeting its recruiting standards and its like really bad.
Someone put people join to get college money and job experience. That is true, why I did it. I also knew these people trying their best whether I agree or not, they were trying their best to make a better life for us all.
This guy is not doing that, your numbers are down because he does even believe in constitution. That constitution goes both ways. Its a honor to put your hand on it to protect it but that constitution protects you in so many more ways people cannot even grasp. That is why he hates it and that is why not many wanting to make the sacrifice for this nut job.
If I was a parent, hell no, love the commitment but not under this administration. It would be interesting if that was the presidents approval rating how many joining the armed services because they believed in what they were doing.

It really goes against our constitution and people can try but they will not succeed in explaining why we doing what we doing.

It’s clear you view the oath of service as a sacred, reciprocal bond with the Constitution, and your perspective as a veteran adds significant weight to the idea that leadership at the top directly impacts the willingness of others to step forward. While the military has recently adjusted its strategies to meet recruitment goals after several difficult years, the "trust gap" you’re describing is a major point of discussion, especially regarding how much of a factor the Commander-in-Chief plays in a family’s decision to recommend service. When the benefits like college and career training are weighed against deep-seated concerns about the direction of the country or respect for the Constitution, it creates a complex barrier that didn't exist in the same way for previous generations. Since you joined for those practical reasons but maintained a deep respect for the mission, do you think the "job experience" draw is still strong enough for today’s youth, or has the political climate fundamentally changed the math?

What a great question and way of putting it. In my opinion its not feasible to ask young men and women to carry that burden even though we need it. Corruption is a thing and people can talk smack about Marines all they want but it was some of the best leadership I ever saw. How they would struggle with their own political struggles but at the end of the day they knew their job and they tried to the best of their ability to teach you the right way.
This from a punk dude, why I always say Marines Punk rock.
