What a lovely buffet ....

So we were treated to a buffet today at the joint 80th Birthday party of Mom's cousins Ken and Margaret.
We had .....
A selection of sandwiches....I had egg mayo, beef, and smoked salmon
Pizza
Scotch egg
Sausage roll
Hot chips
Cheese and pineapple on sticks
Others things to but that's what I had
Selection of cakes .. I had good old fashioned sponge with jam and cream in the middle.
Delicious
And it was nice to be with family.....

@DaddyEvil ....oh yes, we took Mom ....she has a lovely time ...and won a bingo prize ....I will post about that later.

@traceyjayne That does sound satisfying, and celebratory. Nothing beats a sponge with cream and a jammy middle.

@Fiacre .....we were hoping for different puds ...there were three different cakes ...The Mister doesn't do cake so he missed out.Mom and I enjoyed it though.

@TheHorse ....a scotch egg is a hard boiled egg shell removed then wrapped in sausage meat then coated in breadcrumbs and either baked or usually deep fried. It can be served hot but usually you have it cold. It's delicious.

Sadly, given the ages of family I don't think we are going to have many more parties ....it was lovely being together today
