Mother-In-Law Is Going to Get Some Mental Therapy Help

The Memory Care Center called today to get our consent for mother-in-law to see either a psychiatrist or a therapist for her increased anxiety/agitation and paranoia issues. We gave them permission.
MIL claimed Friday that someone had stolen 10 of her wash cloths. She only had 6 to begin with. They were in her linen closet under her towels.
I don't think it's going to hurt for someone to determine if she needs some psych meds or if this is just part of the Alzheimer's.
I always post a pink photo with posts about the mother-in-law because it's her favorite color.

I’m surprised she isn’t on them already. My mom was still on them until the day she closed her eyes and then sporadically breathed for three days. Even if it is her Alzheimer’s, she still needs anxiety/depression meds. I mean my mom couldn’t say a word at some point, but if we hadn’t had her on an antidepressant she would have been an angry mute.

There are so many different versions of Alzheimer’s/dementia. You can’t tell if it will help unless you try. I pray it does work. It’ll make things better for her and you and the residents and staff of the home!

I have wondered if she was on any medications to help with the high anxiety and her paranoia issues. Hopefully they can find a medication that will help her.
