KENYAN GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCES INCREASE IN FUEL

Eldoret, Kenya
April 15, 2026 2:21am CST
Our government announced an increase of fuel prices in the evening of 14.4.2026. The Price of Super Petrol went up by Ksh 28 (US$ 0.22) while Diesel price went up by Ksh. 40 (US$ 0.31). This implies that bus fare will go up reasonably. Vital products such as food stuff, medical supplies and building material are likely to have their prices increased invariably. Of course the government attributed the price change to the effects of America-Israel war against Iran. The opposition and a larger section of Kenyans rubbished the government’s explanation terming it baseless. The Kenyan government is well known for corruption and embezzlement o funds and cannot be trusted!

I think it's happening worldwide except for thos country who have their own resources of oil. I just hope the pipes for our own oil resources will be successfully completed earlier this year. I am glad that the fare did not spike up. Our government is giving financial help to all jeepney drivers.

It seems that fuel prices are going up in most countries. I hope your prices don't go up further. I'm sure some governments are taking advantage of the situation.
