Decided to cook what we call oil rice this morning. It's basically rice cooked with palm oil. This is a very common dish here in Nigeria as it usually easy and cheap to prepare. You just need to heat your palm oil, add some sliced fresh peppers, onion, cray fish and some fish then mix together with the rice and let it cook. You can also add in spices of your choice to fit your taste. Have you ever tried oil rice before?

Oh so sorry about that, is it due to your health?

@eLdav1s I don't eat rice because one of my older brothers convinced me (at 5 or 6 years old) that mom made rice by cooking maggots. (Maggots are the little grubs that turn into flies) I can't eat fish because I have an allergic reaction to any type of fish.

@DaddyEvil Lol i remember when i was told noodles and supergaitt was made from white long worms i refused to eat it for a long time, but later i found out the truth. Have you ever thought about finally trying some rice dish? As for your allergies, sorry about that.

Is that spicy? It looks like Valenciana... Valenciana is a Filipino sticky rice dish with lots of seafood in it, and the rice's color is yellow.

You can actually choose to make it spicy if you want to or not, or even put in lots of seafood as well. I haven't had Valenciana before but it sounds like what i would like.

Oh yes, it's really delicious, and it's a budget friendly food, unless you decide to put in lots of seafood or meat.

It’s kind of like a Filipino garlic fried rice or tinapa rice, where you also mix rice with oil and strong savory ingredients for a quick, tasty meal.
