Happy Friday ….the weekend starts here ….

So Friday started off a bit damp and dull here.
I had to ho out to get a few things but didn’t want to be out too long.
The Mister was on a course and likely to be back at any time ….they say these courses are X hours long , but they rarely are, especially on a Friday, when everyone just wants to get home.
Anyway , as it turns out I was back about half an hour before The Mister…..just enough time to make a pudding for after tea tonight ….i will post about that later.
So, The Mister is now asleep on the settee and I am here, with a coffee ( no Baileys ) , and catching up with my lovely MyLot family and friends …..

@traceyjayne I'm in the local library and the rain on the tin roof is deafening. There are two ladies of a certain age chatting while doing a jigsaw puzzle at a table close to me but thankfully there are no unwashed people or teenagers close by, and no-one eating smelly sandwiches. When the rain lets up I'll head home to do something with aubergines, tomatoes and pork mince.

@Traceyjayne I feel at times that I'm the only quiet, washed person around. Libraries are a good place for people who are lonely - nice and warm place in which to spend a few hours and maybe find someone with which to have a chat. A lot of inadequate people use them as a place of refuge - I feel terrible describing them thusly and I'm glad they have somewhere to go on cold days.

@xFiacre there are lots of clubs etc around for people to go to if they want to learn a skill or just be social and chat with others …..but , sadly, these are not free and if you go several times a week it can be expensive ….the folks you are talking about probably don’t have that money to spend on such things, which is sad when they need it the most.

Happy Friday to you. I am going to check out the store that has been remodeled into a market. I hope they have it ready today, it was supposed to be. I am going to a vegan dinner tomorrow which should be fun. I am making rice, about as easy as it gets. Not sure about Sunday it is apt to be raining...at least part of the time. If it isn't, I might plant something.

I don’t have any big plans although I’d like to do something to get out of the house. I do plan to go to church Sunday if I can manage to get around okay.

@Traceyjayne I made a cake from Sultana Bran, a breakfast cereal. It has dried apricots and cranberries in it as well as sultanas. It hasn't failed me yet.

I was tired and did very little today. Tomorrow cousin #3 is coming to help me.
