How old were you when you got your ears pierced?

I always wanted my ears pierced, but my parents wouldn’t let me until I was ten years old. @Traceyjayne in another post talked about Claire’s, and it is a place that sells little girl and teenage girl accessories, but they also pierce ears. That’s where both me, and my sister went to get them done.
When I see a baby with pierced ears I cringe. I think the child should be old enough to make their own decision. That’s just my opinion though. I admit it’s cute on babies, but still…My sister got Amyra’s pierced at age two, but Amyra hated it so within a year the holes closed. When she turned 13 though, she asked to have it done, and they also took her to Claire’s.

I don’t like seeing babies with pierced ears either.
I received a pair of diamond screw on earrings for pierced ears when I was a teenager. My grandfather made them in Pairs for my grandmother where he worked as a diamond cutter to save up enough money to come to the USA. He left Russia.
Didn’t get my ears pierced until I was 18. Second ear piercing for those earrings when I was married. I wear them all the time.

I was an adult, maybe 21? I was always afraid to get the pierced because I am prone to kieloid..thick scars and was worried I might get big scars on my ears..but nothing happened

I didn't get my ears pierced until I was probably 20 
Pierced ears weren't as popular back in my teenage years as they are now. My daughters had their ears pieced as teenagers at Claires

Thanks for the mention ….. I never really was that bothered about getting my ears pierced. ( I think I was just scared of the pain ! ).
Then suddenly, I changed my mind. I was probably in my twenties when I had them pierced ….i know I was working .
I also cringe when I see babies with pieced ears.

And it's not safe for little babies to have pierced ears that they can pull out and swallow the earrings. I believe I was 10.
