Mother’s Day

In the United States, Mother’s Day is May tenth. It really sneaked up on me, and it only occurred to me a few days ago that it was coming. I usually get Diana (my stepmom) a card. There have been occasions I have gotten her a small gift, but only when I have the money. Sometimes, I get her one of those greeting cards that practically ARE gifts. Do you guys have Mother’s Day plans? I miss my own mom, but I’m grateful for Diana. I actually got a treat yesterday. A friend of my parents was going through their stuff, and they found a picture of my whole family one Sunday on Pastor Appreciation Day (I was ten). It was so wonderful to see.

My mom passed away in 2002. Pretty and I just act like Mother's Day is a non-holiday. *shrug* I'm sure you love that photo. How nice of them to remember you might like to have it.

I knew it is coming and will be celebrating with hubs and at least my younger son, his fiancé, and perhaps her mother. My mom passed away years ago, but I will never forget her last Mother’s Day or her.

I generally do. I was thinking of getting her a phone with big numbers. That is more directed at my dad, but in case of emergency I don't think he would manage to be able to call 911 on the phones they have now. Plus my mother doesn't see well either.

If I had a mother, we certainly would have plans. Our Mother's Day is always on the second Sunday of the month of May and yes, it's the 10th of May this year.

Mother's Day is the same date here in Canada. I haven't really given it any thought. When we come back from our trip out west, we will have to consider it as the girls might need to enlist us to help them pick out something for their Mom, unless they make her a craft. I know that our son will get her flowers from the girls.

Mother's day in most European countries is the second Sunday of May. No more Moms to celebrate here.

Mother's day here is in March, so it's already been. My mother is no longer with us so I don't really have to think about it any more!

Our Mothers Day is in March. The Mister and I shared cooking her a special lunch at our house and of course she was given a card and presents too.

My mother lives with me. She's over 80, but has no problem All the 365 days of the years are both dedicated to my mother and my father. Each day is a Mother's Day and a Father's Day as well

In a way, I get to have two Mothers' Days. Our Irish son always rings on the Irish Mothers' Day then again in May.

I knew it was coming up, but that's not too far away. That's nice about the photo. I got my mom a few things already, and should find at least a card to send my mother in law, she doesn't live near us.
