Another walk on the wildlife side..this morning when I woke up it was cool and very breezy. The usual wildlife was hunkered down in their nests and dens, but when I looked out I saw 3 vultures on the long arm of a tall tree. I have seen them there before. It is a big thick branch that supports their weight, and they get the "birds eye view" from up there. It must be kind of anxiety provoking waiting for something to die, so you can get your next meal.

These were black vultures. We most often see turkey vultures around here

There is a large wooded area behind me. It extends for acres. Where I used to live was kind of an urban oasis. There were 40 acres of woods with paved walking trails, a creek was back there too. Since it was one of the few wooded spaces around you couldn't walk back there without seeing wildlife. It was pretty neat actually. Glad you are feeling well enough to go to church.

We make a not-so-funny joke that whenever the vultures are flying over our complex, one of the old people here must be about do die.
