Good Monday Morning

It's Monday morning and we're back to 3am wake ups. So Saturday was fun. We went up to get a car for my mom. We went to East Tennessee Dodge in Crossville because Misty is amazing and has never steers us wrong. What I didn't expect is to be up there shopping for my husband. Now we're truck shopping for him. What was supposed to be simple became complicated and very heated. Once we got done with all of that we just barely made it to the Engine 65, Liberty station fish fry and auction. We did though and it was an amazing turn out. It's always a lot of fun and this time was no exception. I even got the added benefit of taking food to Dispatch, Sheriff's Office and EMS. Lucky for me one of my favorite people were working that night lol. Sunday was just as much fun. We slept in because we seriously needed it after a week of 3am wake ups and all the stress from Saturday. Once we did get up though we made a plan of attack for the yard work. We moved brush, we mowed, we edged and there is still so much to be done. Today will be more of the same lol. So I will work online for a bit today, mostly this morning. I have a few hours before mom will get up and the moving part of the day will start. We'll watch the Bold and the Beautiful and then my day will start. I have a 9am appointment with state farm in town to talk about insurance but I think I'll be canceling that as nothing is set right now. I'll probably stay with Progressive. Then it's to Walmart for white yarn so I can finish hubby's blanket. There was something else but I can't remember what it was. Then probably the Daily Grind because I'm addicted to their coffee lol. Once I get home, hubby wants me to start rolling on Mother's Day and Fourth of July for the shop. I have two orders I think for Mother's Day. Fingers crossed they follow through. The yard sale items are moving pretty decent but I need to get more out mostly because it's that money that's going to fix the houses. So to explain that sentence, pop's bedroom floor is sinking in. We had that same guy that did our porches look at it and the joists are gone. So it's actually worse than sinking, it's just gone. You can't step on it at all. That's going to be four hundred. To put a new floor down after it's fixed is about twelve hundred and that's going with an epoxy floor. Cheapest way but that's also ok because I like epoxy. So on top of that, the floor here in the extra room is the same just not as bad. That's going to be at least four hundred if not more and we'll just go with carpet for that as that's what's in there. We're going to be having a yardsale at the end of May but I was also thinking about doing Friday sales. Then again if I start having them a lot then people won't want to come all the way out here. It's a lot to think about. I honestly can't complain about how things are going. They are actually pretty good. I have money in savings which hasn't happened in years. There's money aside for things like a laser engraver and random things lol. Even with all the changes, the insurance hasn't gone up too bad. All in all it turned into a good weekend and this will be a good week as I still have plans to get things done. We're going to do a trash run today when hubby gets off work as we did clean up the yard a lot. and maybe a little more yard work. Hopefully I get some new stuff made today for the shop and we can get some sales in that area. What is everyone else doing? Hopefully your Monday is more relaxing than mine lol.

You're always so busy. I've been tired and am way behind here with Discussions. Have a good weekend.

It's easy to fall behind here but I stopped looking at it as falling behind and just do what I can. It doesn't sound too different but it is a different mind set and it doesn't feel so bad

@JordanLader I did two days of Discussions yesterday. Hopefully I can do two today. Then I think I'll only be behind one day.

Well, as usual, you’re busier than a bee, and I don’t know if that is an exaggeration. Today, I’m cleaning, but then I have to go to the pharmacy, where they better have my prescription after the ordeal they’ve put me through this month.

I hope they do. Pharmacies can be absolutely no fun to deal with. Gram used Walgreens and that was a pure hassle with her meds. She ended up getting mom involved most of the time.

I hope the insurance part stays straightforward and the rest of the day goes smoothly for you.

Hopefully. I'm pretty sure Progressive doesn't like me right now as I've added and taken off vehicles a few times in less than a month.

I'm glad that things are going well even with the added expenses having the floor fixed. You certainly are always busy but you sound chipper

I try to be about everything. It's all progress even with it being bittersweet. It'll all look great once it's done and I really can't wait for it all to be done so I can breathe lol.
