So last week, i mentioned i had a 3G GLO sim card i wanted to upgrade to 4G, but was not able to due to crowd, and network issues. I wanted to go back yesterday which is on monday but had to change my plans cause i took my nice to write her JAMB exams. I decided to go there as early as 8/after 8 this morning and luckily there was no crowd, and the network was pretty good and fast. I have been able to upgrade it now, i just have to wait for a few hours for the old sim card to be deactivated before i slot in the new 4G card

I hope there are no issues when they deactivate your old SIM and activate your new 4G SIM. Good luck!

Thank, after waiting for hours, it has finally be activated, but am still see 3G, let me assume it's just the network at my area currently, cause my MTN sim has a stable 4G network.

@eLdav1s You're welcome. The new SIM in my phone is capable of 5G but the network at my home is only running 4G. The same could be the case at your home.

@DaddyEvil I doubt this is the case though, my niece also has a glo sim and her phone has a 4g network. I even tried her sim just to be sure and i got a 4g network with her glo sim, then i tried the newly upgraded sim on other phones but still could not access the 4g. I we call them tomorrow since it's already 9pm over here, and reach them on X. If i still don't get the results i need i might have to go to the office again on Thursday

@augusta123 I completely agree, just that some of their offers can be expensive sometimes, but still the best.

Lol to be honest the network is not really all that good, MTN still remains the best. I only decided to use GLO cause they have cheaper data plans.

My phone company only does 5G, but 4G is so much better than the 3G. You must be very relieved to have the upgrade.

5G is definitely better, but unfortunately my phone does not support a 5G sim, unless i buy a 5G wifi, that's the only way. Maybe when i have enough cash i might go for that. You are right 4G is way better than 3G, but i am still seeing H+ (which is 3G) on my phone

Yes, though most of the times we still get crappy network, especially during the day.

I'm not going to pretend I know what that meant but you seem happy with it so I'm glad it all worked out for you :)

Lol, yea am happy though, thank you... Its more about the network speed i use in accessing the Internet and downloading things. 4G is ment to be faster than 3G.

That's good that you're on 4g now. I have been using 5g for so many years now. And I'm happy how fast it is.
