Love alone is not enough..I'm hurting

I met a girl online, and we instantly clicked... For months we talked on the phone every day, falling deeper in love even though we’ve never met.
The distance is too far and transport was too expensive for either of us to travel. We both knew it wasn't’ sustainable, so we encouraged each other to find someone closer.
Last week she told me about a guy who helped her get a job. They started dating but she wasn't sure about him. Yestnite, when I called her, she was with him and she kept dodging when I asked if she'd sleep at his place. I told her I felt jealous and she just replied with "hmm"
Deep down I know I can’t ask her to wait for me. Nothing can happen between us because of the distance. It hurts, but I have to let her go.
One thing I have learned over the years is that love alone ain't enough when distance and money make a relationship impossible...sometimes you just gotta let go. Thats kindest thing you can do for both of you

Am so sorry to hear this, i completely understand how you feel cause i have been in this situation several times. I have had to let go of several persons due to distance. The one that happened recently was not even about distance. I met someone online, we instantly became good friends and before you know it we where besties. We meet offline since we where both staying in the same state though her place is pretty far from my house. Along the line we became to close that it was almost like we where dating. It was not official but it was obvious there was something going on. She wanted to focus on her school and business before going into a relationship, and i wanted to focus on building my business financially first before anything else. Along the line i had to let go cause it felt like i was the only one putting all the efforts. Whenever i say how i feel about a particular thing, we always ended up fighting. She could go for days without reaching out to me all in the name of being busy, to the point she forgot my birthday. It was so painful the closest person to me made me feel like i was not loved, needed or important.
I had to let go to protect my mental health cause i was becoming depressed and constantly sad about it. I still care about her but letting go is the best choice. And guess what?
She never tried to reach out to settle things.

Now, I truly understand why my story hit close to home for you. I'm sorry you went through that. From everything you said, it's evident she was never into you. She just wanted the friendship. You made the right choice by letting her go. If she wanted you, she would have reached out. It's better to pour your energy on someone who truly love you ... trust me, the universe will connect you to that person.

Ouch. Everything has to be a mutual decision. You can't keep her waiting if you can't promise the possibility of actually meeting each other. And she shouldn't let you hope there's still a chance when she knew she' couldn't wait for you either.
