When The Marines Made Us Cheat

I do not know, price of winning. Marines in boot camp, like anything, the price of winning. What will you do? Will you cross the line? There is always loopholes and that is what my drill instructors did.
They one night after torturing us all day. probably for good reason.
Physical training test against the battalion, Tomorrow. Recruit so and so dad is a doctor and he sent us these vitamins and they perfectly legal, we asked USMC San Diego to make sure.
Fair point, but pretty sure they did not say take all 10 at once the night before. Which they made us do and watched and I was actually like hell yeah, I want to win.
It did not improve anything and this is our final PT test, the final test to stick it to the rest of the battalion. I threw it all up, but my scores were exactly the same from my first test.
I am also sure most did not take all 10 because no one threw up but me and probably most knew you would throw it up. The drill instructors watched but they did not make sure anyone actually took any. Maybe I was the scapegoat, that jack ass from poor places, he will believe it and I did.
I like to think I just tried harder and the Navy Docs said, sometimes when you try so hard, you get sick, you are fine finish it out and I did with exact score on everything from my first Physical test.
My drill instructors did say from the beginning you what a buck 35, you sure are strong but stupid. They gave me barracks duty, which is much better than exercising but, you cannot improve on your scores if you do not train as much either. I missed a perfect score both times on three mile run 19 minutes 10 seconds entering Corps and 19 10 when I left. I was so mad. The one time in life you have a chance to be perfect at something.
My drill instructors invited me for a beer on day of Graduation and explained we knew you were in good shape but had to get many others to do better because they really wanted to become Marines too, it made me feel a little a better.

Thanks dad/doc. If these were vitamins they may have helped your body react better to the heavy exercising.

I would not have no clue back then either way. I learned all a consistent thing, other than saline bags hydration comes a day before as how you will feel. Vitamins like that is even longer , unless a shot like Roger Clemens used to get with like b 3 or whatever . Unless its a injection it takes days and has to be consistent, but also Marines, military give you most of that anyway just on how they structure their food. so you do not even need it if they doing their job right.
