Just to prove to everyone that I do not “plan” things: if I did, this song would be #4 on the list this month so it’d show up on Monday!
Now celebrating 60 years in our lifetime soundtrack, here’s today’s song.
#6: Monday, Monday - Mamas and Papas
Ah, the 60s. I found a version of this song on YouTube with the unedited album cover. Yes, the album cover in the screen grab was edited when this album came out in 1966. They put stickers over the toilet.
And, no, I am NOT joking, either.
Another thing of the 60s you can hear in the audio of the song: that lovely (ha ha) early stereo. This was back in the days when the music world was transitioning from mono to stereo recordings. If you think it’s bad, you should hear “electronically enhanced stereo.” That garbage was enough to make you swear off records.
So much for all of that. Now, settle back and enjoy one of the great songs of the 60s.

I know this one as well
It's a shame the sequel didn't do so well
Tuesday Tuesday just doesn't have the same appeal now, or back in 1967

The Moodies changed it to “Tuesday Afternoon” and did all right.

Oh I’ll bet you do, especially that Mamas & Papas/Jimmy Buffett mashup, “Come Monday Monday.”
